Also, I've mentioned this in the past, but in case anyone missed it...if you've got any stage door or backstage photos with Hugh or any other pictures of him, we'd love to include them on his site. Please e-mail us!
Hugh-Panaro.net is going to host a special auction to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Thanks to my amazing co-admin, Bonnie (and to Hugh), we are able to offer a half dozen pieces of Broadway memorabilia for auction at eBay. The proceeds will be sent to BC/EFA in Hugh's name.
The items include his dressing room door name "slider" from "Lestat" and a t-shirt from "The Phantom of the Opera" that Hugh wore in concert.
We have all of the items posted on the web site for you to preview and decide what you might want to bid on. We'll be starting the bidding in about a week.
First, Hugh will be doing a concert with Ivan Rutherford and Tamra Hayden on October 26 and 27. Details are listed under the September 29 update on the main page at www.hugh-panaro.net.
If you'd like to see Hugh's wonderful concert performance of "Right Before My Eyes" at Birdland Jazz Club AND support Broadway Care/Equity Fights AIDS, please consider ordering The Leading Men II. Again, details are on his site.
Also, today marks two years since Hugh's final performance in "The Phantom of the Opera"
Just a quick reminder that there's an album coming out on Tuesday which features a new recording by Hugh. It's "A Place For Us," a tribute for the 50th Anniversary of "West Side Story." Hugh recorded "Tonight" for it earlier this year.
We're going to have a special surprise from the recording on his site. I'm not going to tell you just what and I don't have a date on when we get to go live with this, but it's going to be an exclusive for hugh-panaro.net. So just keep an eye on the main page or the forum...we'll have it posted sometime after the release date.
Hi! Well, I've never actually seen Hugh in a person - just on youtube - but I've fallen in love with him none the less. ^^ I was wondering if anyone had a video of Hugh's Music of the Night from his final performance. I'm afraid that I have nothing to give in return for it except the gift of friendship (how cheesy was that). If you can't due to copyright reasons or something like that it's no big deal, but if anyone has to time to I'd really appreciate it. Thanks! :)
I'm wondering, does anyone here have a current link (such as Sendspace or Megaupload) with a complete video recording of Lestat I could upload? I've found a few, but all of them have expired. :[ Someone please help - I'm desperate to see this show!
He told me about that last week, but we needed to wait until it was official to get the word out.
Second, Hugh has had to cancel his concert appearance with Anne Runolfsson at Wolf Trap. Aaron Lazar will replace him. If you want your tickets refunded, the information is on the main page of his site.
Third, Hugh has also had to cancel his May 9 appearance at the Lincoln Square Barnes & Noble. The Any Wednesday event will take place, but he will not be performing.
Two of amazing Broadway performers together in one concert!
Hugh Panaro and Anne Runolfsson (the current Carlotta in the Broadway production of "The Phantom of the Opera") will be performing at Wolf Trap in Virginia on July 21. The concert, conducted by Marvin Hamlisch is "From Hollywood To The Great White Way."
On Monday night, I had a chance to chat with Hugh after he performed (adorably) in the Broadway Musicals of 1938 concert. After the show, we recorded a new video greeting for the site (our fourth so far).
And Hugh had a request for everyone!
Well, there you have it...Hugh would like your song suggestions for his solo album. He said his producers aren't interested in any Broadway songs, but he would really welcome all of your ideas for a project that means a great deal to him.
I've set up a special e-mail address at his site so you can send in suggestions and I'll forward them to him. It's firstname.lastname@example.org
Just want to let you know that Hugh will be one of the performers (along with Aaron Lazar, Christiane Noll, and Barbara Walsh) at the BROADWAY MUSICALS OF 1938 concert at New York City's Town Hall Theater on March 26.
Links and ticket information is up on the main page of his site:
I'm quite tired with the lack official word on the release of the Lestat cast recording. I know how hard Hugh and the rest of the cast worked in studio on this. Initially, we were told to expect it on July 11. Now...no word and no sign of the album.

Hey everyone! I have a bit of a problem that I'm hoping someone here can help me with. I have been looking ALL over, high and low, for a full bootleg performance of Phantom with Hugh. I know there are a few floating around out there but it seems like for whatever reason those who have it don't want to share the beauty. =/ If you're interested in helping me out, or doing a trade, or something like that, here is the list of boots I have to trade. I really appreciate it, and hope to hear from someone soon. Thanks all!
